Among the striking images in Revelation is the sealing of 144,000<\/strong> servants of God. Questions often arise: Who are they? Are they symbolic of the church, or literal descendants of Israel? What is their mission? By examining Revelation alongside Old and New Testament prophecy<\/strong>, we discover that the 144,000 represent a literal remnant of Israel preserved during the tribulation, serving God\u2019s purposes and pointing toward the future salvation of the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sealing of the 144,000<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Revelation 7 introduces them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed<\/strong> an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel\u201d (Revelation 7:4<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twelve thousand are sealed from each of twelve tribes (Revelation 7:5\u20138<\/a>). The seal marks them as God\u2019s protected servants amid tribulation judgments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, Revelation 14 shows them with the Lamb on Mount Zion, singing a new song and described as \u201cfirstfruits unto God and to the Lamb\u201d (Revelation 14:1\u20134<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
