Among the most sobering themes in biblical prophecy<\/strong> is the rise of the Antichrist, the final world ruler who opposes God, deceives the nations, and persecutes His people. The word antichrist<\/strong><\/em> appears only in John\u2019s letters, yet the figure is described throughout Scripture under various titles: \u201cthe little horn\u201d in Daniel, \u201cthe man of sin\u201d in Thessalonians, and \u201cthe beast<\/strong>\u201d in Revelation. By examining these passages together, we gain a composite picture of his character, role, and ultimate defeat at Christ\u2019s return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Meaning of Antichrist<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

John introduces the term in his epistles: \u201cLittle children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists\u201d (1 John 2:18<\/a>). The term carries two senses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
