Paul\u2019s formulation in 1 Corinthians 15:3\u20134 is decisive: \u201cChrist died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.\u201d The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus are not isolated events to be appreciated merely devotionally.
