Our Beliefs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n

SpearNet\u2019s foundation is built upon the unchanging truth of the Gospel, \u201cthat Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day\u201d (1 Corinthians 15:1\u20134). We believe that salvation is entirely by grace through faith, and that those who trust in Christ are justified, just as Abraham was declared righteous by faith (Genesis 15:6). This gift of eternal life cannot be lost, for Jesus promised, \u201cNo one will snatch them out of My hand\u201d (John 10:28\u201330).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hold firmly to the promises of God, both fulfilled and yet to come. We await the coming Millennium, when Christ will reign and God\u2019s unconditional covenants to Israel will be realized\u2014those given to Abraham (Genesis 12:2\u20133; 15:7), to David (2 Samuel 7:12\u201316), and through Jeremiah\u2019s New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31). These promises anchor our hope in God\u2019s faithfulness and remind us that His plan is unfolding exactly as He has declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of living faithfully in the present age, we also watch the world around us with discernment. Through Global Watch Daily<\/em>, we examine global, geopolitical, and cultural events in light of Scripture, not to sensationalize, but to encourage believers with a sober, Berean-minded perspective. We affirm that God is sovereign over history, guiding all things toward His appointed end, and that Scripture provides the worldview through which Christians can understand the times (1 Chronicles 12:32; Matthew 24:6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Importance of Knowing the Signs of the Times<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Jesus repeatedly commands His followers to live with spiritual alertness, not passive indifference. In Matthew 24\u201325, Mark 13, and Luke 21, the Lord emphasizes that understanding the times is not optional; it is an act of obedience, discernment, and readiness. For believers today, regularly keeping track of world events through a biblical lens helps us stay anchored in Scripture, avoid deception, and grow in faithfulness as we await His return. This requires ongoing Bible study, a Berean mindset (Acts 17:11), and continual watchfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Why Jesus Commands Believers to Watch<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    1. Watching prevents deception<\/strong>
      Jesus begins His Olivet teaching with a warning: \u201cTake heed that no man deceive you\u201d (Matthew 24:4). In a world filled with confusion, false teaching, and spiritual counterfeits, watchfulness protects believers from being misled. Those who neglect biblical discernment are the most vulnerable to deception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Jesus warns that spiritual sleep produces unpreparedness: \u201cIf the goodman of the house had known\u2026 he would have watched\u201d (Matthew 24:43).       Jesus instructs His followers: \u201cWhen ye shall see all these things, know that it is near\u201d (Matthew 24:33). Believers are meant to recognize the unfolding signs, not dismiss them.       Jesus rebuked the religious leaders for failing to recognize the prophetic signs of His first coming: \u201cYe can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?\u201d (Matthew 16:3). If discernment was expected then, it is even more essential today. Ignoring prophecy leads to spiritual dullness, while studying it strengthens clarity, conviction, and obedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      A life of biblical watchfulness must be rooted in continual<\/em> Scripture study. The Bereans were commended because they \u201csearched the scriptures daily\u201d (Acts 17:11).       Our site serves as a comprehensive educational resource, combining articles, courses, and podcasts that explore biblical truth through careful study, historical insight, theological clarity, and a reverence for Scripture. We believe that genuine faith flourishes when God\u2019s Word is examined thoughtfully and when every believer becomes a student of Scripture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
