Our Beliefs
SpearNet’s foundation is built upon the unchanging truth of the Gospel, “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:1–4). We believe that salvation is entirely by grace through faith, and that those who trust in Christ are justified, just as Abraham was declared righteous by faith (Genesis 15:6). This gift of eternal life cannot be lost, for Jesus promised, “No one will snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28–30).
We hold firmly to the promises of God, both fulfilled and yet to come. We await the coming Millennium, when Christ will reign and God’s unconditional covenants to Israel will be realized—those given to Abraham (Genesis 12:2–3; 15:7), to David (2 Samuel 7:12–16), and through Jeremiah’s New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31). These promises anchor our hope in God’s faithfulness and remind us that His plan is unfolding exactly as He has declared.
As part of living faithfully in the present age, we also watch the world around us with discernment. Through Global Watch Daily, we examine global, geopolitical, and cultural events in light of Scripture, not to sensationalize, but to encourage believers with a sober, Berean-minded perspective. We affirm that God is sovereign over history, guiding all things toward His appointed end, and that Scripture provides the worldview through which Christians can understand the times (1 Chronicles 12:32; Matthew 24:6).
Five enduring values guide our ministry:
- Biblical Authority – God’s Word is inerrant, sufficient, and the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
- Faith through Understanding – Every believer should engage Scripture with both heart and intellect, growing in knowledge and trust.
- Christ-Centered Truth – The Gospel of Jesus Christ is central to all we teach, proclaim, and produce.
- Reason and Revelation in Harmony – True science and true faith reveal the same Creator; both declare His glory.
- Hope in God’s Promises – We live and labor in expectation of Christ’s return and the fulfillment of His everlasting covenants.
Through every study, lesson, podcast, and daily news briefing, we seek to glorify God by teaching His Word faithfully, exploring His creation reverently, and encouraging believers everywhere to live as Bereans—grounded in truth, strengthened by faith, and steadfast in hope.
Our Ministry
The Importance of Knowing the Signs of the Times
Jesus repeatedly commands His followers to live with spiritual alertness, not passive indifference. In Matthew 24–25, Mark 13, and Luke 21, the Lord emphasizes that understanding the times is not optional; it is an act of obedience, discernment, and readiness. For believers today, regularly keeping track of world events through a biblical lens helps us stay anchored in Scripture, avoid deception, and grow in faithfulness as we await His return. This requires ongoing Bible study, a Berean mindset (Acts 17:11), and continual watchfulness.
Why Jesus Commands Believers to Watch
- Watching prevents deception
Jesus begins His Olivet teaching with a warning: “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matthew 24:4). In a world filled with confusion, false teaching, and spiritual counterfeits, watchfulness protects believers from being misled. Those who neglect biblical discernment are the most vulnerable to deception. - Watching keeps us spiritually awake
Jesus warns that spiritual sleep produces unpreparedness: “If the goodman of the house had known… he would have watched” (Matthew 24:43). Staying alert cultivates holiness, urgency, and readiness. A watchful believer lives with a sober awareness that Christ could return at any moment. - Watching cultivates faithfulness
Immediately after His prophecy teaching, Jesus gives parables focused on accountability—the wise and foolish virgins (Matt 25:1–13), the faithful and unfaithful servants (Matt 24:45–51), and the talents (Matt 25:14–30). The message is unmistakable: disciples are called to be diligent, faithful, and fruitful as they await the Master’s return. - Watching aligns us with God’s prophetic plan
Jesus instructs His followers: “When ye shall see all these things, know that it is near” (Matthew 24:33). Believers are meant to recognize the unfolding signs, not dismiss them. Tracking significant world events through Scripture helps us understand how God’s redemptive plan is progressing. - Watching produces hope, not fear
Jesus connects awareness of prophetic events with encouragement: “When these things begin to come to pass… lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28). End-time understanding is designed to build hope, confidence, and anticipation, not anxiety.
Jesus Rebukes Those Who Ignore Prophecy
Jesus rebuked the religious leaders for failing to recognize the prophetic signs of His first coming: “Ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” (Matthew 16:3). If discernment was expected then, it is even more essential today. Ignoring prophecy leads to spiritual dullness, while studying it strengthens clarity, conviction, and obedience.
Living as Bereans
A life of biblical watchfulness must be rooted in continual Scripture study. The Bereans were commended because they “searched the scriptures daily” (Acts 17:11). Likewise, believers today must test every headline, every trend, and every teaching against the unchanging Word of God. Regular study, paired with careful attention to current events, equips Christians to discern the times with wisdom, faithfulness, and hope.
What We Do
Living as Bereans, we exist to equip believers with the tools, understanding, and discernment needed to study God’s Word deeply and live out the truth faithfully. Inspired by the believers in Acts 17:10–12, who “received the word with all readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily,” we seek to cultivate that same spirit of curiosity, conviction, and confidence in Scripture.
Our site serves as a comprehensive educational resource, combining articles, courses, and podcasts that explore biblical truth through careful study, historical insight, theological clarity, and a reverence for Scripture. We believe that genuine faith flourishes when God’s Word is examined thoughtfully and when every believer becomes a student of Scripture.
To accompany this educational resource, we help you understand the times by providing Global Watch Daily, a biblically grounded Christian news briefing that highlights global events, cultural trends, and prophetic developments with clarity and discernment. Rather than speculate, we aim to help believers understand the times through the lens of Scripture, encouraging watchfulness, wisdom, and hope as we await Christ’s return.
We also recognize that science and faith are not adversaries but companions in discovering God’s master design. Just as the pioneers of the scientific revolution viewed creation as a reflection of divine order, we believe that scientific discovery continues to illuminate the wisdom and majesty of the Creator. Science, rightly understood, confirms the truths already revealed in God’s Word and reveals His glory throughout creation.
In all we do, our goal is to help Christians think biblically, discern truth from error, and find joy in studying Scripture for themselves, so that faith is strengthened, the Gospel is shared, and Christ is exalted.
